As a child, I remember a conversation that busted out among my friends and me during one of our banters. Friend A started off saying she must make heaven no matter what because Hellfire is not a place to be and this is where the conversation kicked off, everyone started talking about the heavens and the position they desirer, as for Friend W, she did not mind being a ‘house girl’ in heaven, I for one did not mind being a cleaner in heaven, Friend X did not mind being a gardener in heaven, in short, all of us wanted to make it to heaven regardless of what lowly positions we would have in heaven.
Are you like us who were trying to hustle our way into heaven? Are you also trying to hustle your way into heaven? I want to let you know that it is not that deep, the way to heaven is easy.
Now I want to ask you, why do you want to make it to heaven? Is it because you are scared of the wrath of hell, is it because you love God? Or is it because you just want the soft life after death?
I am going to repeat this, hold your two ears and repeat after me, ‘YOU CANNOT HUSTLE YOUR WAY INTO HEAVEN’ because heaven is not oshodi bus stop where you would struggle to enter. Also, there is no low and high hierarchy in heaven as a man, you cannot mistakenly find yourself in heaven, being in heaven is a deliberate effort and I would tell you why. In heaven what you would receive is rewards of a glorious crown and stars, but not a position.
You know why you cannot hustle into heaven?
This is because, the way to heaven is by faith. You have to believe with your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is lord and you would be saved. Believing in Jesus consists of believing in the death, resurrection and burial of Jesus, and also believing that Jesus is God. Jesus is the ticket and faith alone in Jesus is the ticked you need to enter heaven. Only children of God would be in heaven because they have believed, so can you see that you cannot hustle your way into heaven.
Why you should go to heaven?
Heaven is the place God is, therefore your goal should be where Jesus is, which should also be out to love. If you want to go heaven because heaven is a good place and a place of enjoyment, my dear brethren, this your reason is wrong oh, biko change it.
What would you be doing in heaven?
Some people believe that heaven is a place to rest, enjoyment galore is your imagination of heaven. Well you are not far from the truth because heaven is a place of eternal rejoicing. Heaven however is a place where would be praising and worshiping God forever and ever, we would constantly be in awe of the awesomeness of God, so you see. If you are not used to praising God on earth, won’t you find it strange praising God eternally and for the rest of your life?
What can I do to make heaven genuinely?
All you need to do is have faith, believe in the finished works of cross on the Christ, good people do not make heaven, it is only saved people that would make it to heaven. You are saved by grace through faith, works do not carry you to heaven, and it is only those that truly believe Jesus is Lord that would be in heaven. Enjoy true intimacy with God on earth, live each day purposefully, preach the gospel delightfully, you wold surely receive your rewards in heaven.
What does heaven look like?
The human mind cannot fully understand what heaven looks like, heaven is the most beautiful place you would ever see. Heaven would be made of pure gold, beautiful oceans, beautiful flowers. Imagine the most beautiful place in the world times one million,and heaven would still be a zillion times more beautiful than such place. There would be no single evil found in heaven. I must confess, heaven is a place to be because it would be a place filled with eternal joy.
I want you to remember, the goal is not going into heaven to escape hardship, the goal should be going into heaven to be be where God is.
