Hello sunshine,

Can you believe how fast this January has flown , wow I kent (can’t) believe it.

Today, I’ll be sharing a few vagina care tips which we might have been familiar with or not.

If you are a guy reading this then you could also share this with the females around you (without sounding rude by the way).

So yeah, what’s all the rave about vagina care all about ?

Well, vagina care is important because they help reduce the risk of contaminating yeast infection or vaginal infections in general .

Some of us believe that👇

Who knows 👇

A few tips which we should reconsider;

1.Peeing hygine; After peeing, it’s advisable to wipe with water and tissue when possible , and most importantly it is said that it’s better to wipe from the front to the back to avoid spreading germs all around the vagina.

“Always wipe from front to back,” says Alyssa Dweck, M.D., an ob-gyn and author of V is for Vagina. “Wiping from back to front can bring bacteria from the rectum toward the urethra and increase your chances of a urinary tract infection.”

2.G-strings or Thongs : Especially at our mid teenage years , some of us decided to ditch granny panties for thongs ( g-string), but rumour has it that thongs can be disadvantageous to the vagina especially when worn everyday.

From my little research , the tiny part or the string part of the panties can possibly pass bacterias from the anus to the vagina which is worse when worn during the menstrual periods.

However when the need arises , don’t be scared to wear them.

3.Choice of fabrics: Lace panties are elegant and sexy which is undeniable but they sometimes irritate the vagina. However, pants made out of cotton are less irritable to the vagina which is considered the best . And at night after washing the v-part, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to sleep without panties to permit air in there.

4. Soap and feminine wash: You might know the drill about bathing soap being unsuitable for washing down below because it disrupts its PH balance. And water alone has always been preached to be sufficient while washing the vagina .

But are Feminine washes worth the try ?

Well, I have seen a few brands of these feminine wash over the counter where they promise various benefits. But there have been various arguments by gynaecologists on how these washes are totally useless to the vagina. I feel they need to be ditched since some contains fragrance.

Remember, despite what these hygiene washes might advertise, your vulva doesn’t need to smell like a flower! What matters is that your vulva and vagina are healthy, and with proper care, this is easy to maintain.

Please darling ❤❤❤❤❤ don’t douch your vagina!!!.

5. Period Hygines : No matter how light your period flow might be , baby girl do not use just one sanitary pad or tampon for a whole day. Ideally you are expected to change your pads every 6 hours and your Tanpons are expected to be changed between 3 – 5 hours.

Toxic shock syndrome related to menses (mTSS) is a rare, but potentially fatal disease caused by one of two different types of bacteria, Staphylococcus aureusor group A Streptococcus. These bacteria are normally found colonizing the vagina of most women and they can grow out of control when a tampon is in place for too long.

6. Panty Liners

Vagina discharges are normal and those stains they leave may not the best. But!!! Panty Liners are not for our everyday use. Wearing them daily increases the risks of getting a yeast infection. They are best used on ovulation days and the days after periods.
